Everything you need to know about Plan Proof

Answers to common questions about how Plan Proof predicts the corrections your jurisdiction will flag — what each check covers, which cities are supported, and how pricing works.

About Plan Proof

What is Plan Proof?

Plan Proof reviews your architectural plan set before you submit it and predicts the corrections your jurisdiction is likely to flag. Upload the PDF and it returns each likely correction with a sheet reference, the code or checklist item it maps to, how often it shows up in real sets, and a confidence level — so you can fix issues before the city does.

Who is Plan Proof built for?

Plan Proof is built for the architects, engineers, and permit expeditors who submit plan sets to a jurisdiction and want to catch corrections in-house before the review comes back. If you file plans and dread the resubmittal loop, Plan Proof is for you.

How is this different from a code-compliance checker?

Plan Proof doesn't claim to check every code. It predicts what your specific city will actually flag, learned from the correction letters that jurisdiction sends — not just code text. Every finding shows its evidence, so you can judge it yourself.

How is Plan Proof different from Bluebeam or UpCodes?

Bluebeam is a PDF markup tool and UpCodes is a code-text reference — neither predicts what your reviewer will write. Plan Proof reads your drawings and forecasts the corrections your jurisdiction is likely to issue, learned from real correction letters for that city.

Does Plan Proof use AI?

Yes. Plan Proof reads your plan set and cross-references it against a corpus of real correction letters for your jurisdiction to forecast likely findings. Every finding is presented with its evidence for you to review — it flags, you decide.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Your plans are used only to run your check and are not used to train models.

How a check works

What does one check cover?

Upload a plan set (PDF) for one project. Plan Proof reads the drawings and returns the corrections your jurisdiction is likely to flag — each finding carries a sheet reference, the code or checklist item it maps to, how often it shows up in real sets, and a confidence level.

Which cities are supported?

Plan Proof learns from real correction letters, so coverage is city-by-city rather than nationwide. We add jurisdictions as we harvest their correction corpus — tell us where you file and we'll prioritize it. The pricing page lists the cities live today.

What evidence is behind each finding?

Every finding shows the sheet it applies to, the code section or checklist item it maps to, how frequently that correction appears in real sets for your city, and a confidence level. You act on evidence, not a black-box score.

Does Plan Proof guarantee a clean submittal?

No tool can. Plan Proof forecasts the corrections most likely to be flagged based on what your jurisdiction has actually written before — it sharpens your own review, it does not replace the reviewer. Findings come with confidence levels so you can weigh each one.

Pricing

How much does Plan Proof cost?

A single check is $49 — one plan set, one report. No subscription necessary. Credit packs (5 or 20 credits) and an optional monthly plan are available for teams filing regularly. See the pricing page for current details.

Is there a subscription or a sales call?

Neither is required. Start at $49 for a single check. The monthly plan is optional, for teams running checks regularly — you can cancel anytime.

Do the credits expire?

No. Credit packs are one-time purchases — the checks stay on your account until you use them. The monthly plan resets its check allowance each month.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. Align is a free tool that organizes a correction letter you already have and gives you a taste of how Plan Proof structures findings. When you're ready to check a plan set before submitting, run a Plan Proof check for $49.
